Danielle & Ryan’s The Ashes Barns Wedding
After a refreshing two week break in Orlando I came back to the UK and it was autumn! I’m sure it was still summer when I left. The leaves were full of the yellow and gold hues of autumn. The Ashes Barns is one of my favourite Staffordshire wedding venues, and fairly local to me too.
Danielle and Ryan booked me to capture their wedding at The Ashes Barns, and I was so pleased to work alongside Deb Stott, for the day.
To begin the day I filmed Danielle’s bridal preparations. All the girls were relaxing in the getting ready room, enjoying a pampering ready for the day.
The Ashes Barns Wedding Ceremony
The Ashes is a beautiful spot for a wedding, especially at this time of year. The ceremony room is a lovely quaint barn, that offers plenty of room for all of your guests. I like to set my wide shot camera angle up on the balcony at the back, it gives me a perfect view.
Ryan and the guests made their way into the ceremony room fairly quickly, as it was starting to drizzle. Once everyone was seated it was pretty much time for Danielle to make her grand entrance. She looked incredible, Ryan was overcome with emotion. And it was such a special moment to see the two of them exchange vows and become Mr & Mrs.
The Ashes Barns Wedding Reception
After the ceremony it was time for the guests to enjoy the drinks reception. With rainy weddings at The Ashes Barns the guests are invited to stay indoors and protected from the weather. The ceremony room is easily converted into a large open space for guests to mingle, with plenty of seating around the edge.
Thankfully Danielle and Ryan were more than happy to brave the rain, and Deb and I took them out for some couples portraits.
A lovely afternoon was continued with some fabulous speeches, three course meal, and a fun evening of partying.
