Derbyshire Wedding Videographer
Vision Wave Weddings is based in Cheshire, and is perfect for Derbyshire wedding video. We have really easy access to the county of Derbyshire. Derbyshire is a beautiful county, and has the benefit of having a large portion of the Peak District within it.
Home to a plethora of gorgeous buildings, like Chatsworth House, Tissington Hall, and Calke Abbey. Derbyshire is definitely not short on Manor House style wedding venues. If that’s not your vibe, then there are also plenty of rustic barns to choose from – such as Grangefields by Cripps and Co – one of my favourites.
The first Derbyshire wedding I filmed was the wedding of Hannah and Thomas, who got married at the Buxton Palace Hotel in 2015. In 2016 I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of Tamzin and Ben – they had their ceremony at St Giles Church in Cheadle, followed by their reception at Dovecliff Hall.
Another Derbyshire wedding venue is Tissington Hall. It’s an absolutely stunning venue, with some beautiful surroundings for portraits. There’s a church located right opposite so it’s absolutely perfect regardless of if you’d like a religious or a civil ceremony.
My Approach
My approach to filmmaking is really simple… I believe the best moments are the real ones.
I don’t stage anything, or ask you or your guests to pose or act. Instead, I take a relaxed, unobtrusive approach, letting your day unfold naturally while I capture it as it actually happens.

Sneak Peek
Relive the love of your day with a one minute sneak peek delivered within a few days of your wedding day. Shared across the key social media sites for rapid delivery.
Highlight Film
The highlight film captures the emotions of your wedding in a 5-7 minute film. Edited in my cinematic style, this film is a carefully curated narrative, perfect for sharing on social media and with your loved ones.
Feature Film
The feature film is a more in-depth retelling of your wedding day. A 20-30 minute edit, the film blends together audio captured during your ceremony and speeches with footage. If you prefer a documentary style edit (60mins) you are welcome to swap this out.
Ceremony & Speeches
Delve into the heart of your wedding day with edits of your ceremony, speeches and first dance. Presented as three separate files, ensuring that every moment is captured with precision and care.
Wedding Drone Footage
All of my film packages include beautiful 4k drone footage, giving your wedding film cinematic perspective from above. This allows me to capture your venue, and surroundings, in a way that being on the ground simply can’t.
Drone use is always subject to weather conditions, airspace, and venue permission. Safety is my top priority, ensuring everything about your day is captured to the highest standard.
Grangefields by Cripps & Co
Since 2013 I’ve been fortunate enough to visit some absolutely stunning venues in Derbyshire. My favourite so far has to be Grangefields by Cripps and Co. It is simply break taking. It is perfect for couples wanting a rustic vibe, but there’s just something else about it too- with candlelit chandeliers hanging from the ceremony room, oak beams, and tiny windows. It’s simply stunning.
Hoar Cross Hall
Hoar Cross Hall is a luxurious hotel and spa, and wedding venue. The venue boasts views of the idyllic Derbyshire countryside. As a Derbyshire wedding videographer I always value nice views at venues. Nice views mean good backdrops for couples portraits, which are one of my favourite parts of a wedding.
