Rowton Castle Wedding Video
Rowton Castle is a castle wedding venue in Shropshire. Situated not too far from Shrewsbury Rowton Castle is one of my favourite Shropshire wedding venues.
My first visit to Rowton Castle came in 2016 when Kasey and Sean booked me to capture their special day. By this point I’d actually booked Rowton Castle as my own wedding venue, so I was really excited to see the venue in action ahead of my own 2017 wedding.
Nestled in the heart of Shropshire, Rowton Castle boasts beautiful views out to the scenic countryside. It really is a fairytale wedding venue. If you are looking for an exclusive use, castle wedding venue, I strongly urge you to check out Rowton Castle.
Rowton Castle offers couples exclusive use, so your wedding day is completely private. Some venues charge extra for this privilege, but with Rowton Castle it is standard. One of the best things about Rowton Castle is that it’s a great venue regardless of weather. As we all know, the UK weather can be hit and miss, and so many times I’ve known couples book summer weddings hoping for sun, only to have rain. If your Rowton Castle wedding was a wet one there is plenty of indoor space for guests to enjoy.
There are a number of ceremony options at Rowton Castle, and both are equally beautiful. The indoor ceremony is really light and airy, and can be customised to suit your style with your choice of decor vendor. Personally, we had a Harry Potter themed wedding, and this was so easily achieved with a venue like Rowton Castle. Alternatively you can get married outdoors, which is absolutely stunning – take a look at Abbie and David’s film below for some inspiration.
Whatever your style Rowton Castle is a perfect Shropshire wedding venue for your big day. The staff are second to none, and they go above and beyond – and I can assure you that from personal experience of my wedding day.
Harry Potter Castle Wedding
Liv & Graeme’s wedding theme was right up my street! A Harry Potter themed wedding, in a Castle? I’m 100% in. I also had a Harry Potter themed wedding at Rowton Castle, so I think it was meant to be when Liv & Graeme got in touch.
Their day was so unique, and Liv and Graeme had done so many intricate details, by hand! Even making their own Chocolate Frog cards and boxes. I love to see couples bring out their true selves for their wedding. After all, isn’t that what a wedding should be about.
Glorious Sunshine at Rowton Castle
I began Amy & Ashley’s wedding day at Rowton Castle getting some drone footage around the venue, before heading to film Amy’s bridal preparations. Bridal preparations are a lovely way to start the wedding film, so I was really pleased that Amy decided to have them captured.
Rowton Castle does offer an outdoor ceremony, but Amy and Ashley decided to play it safe and have their ceremony indoors. The ceremony room at Rowton Castle is beautiful! Ashley and the boys took their places at the front of the ceremony room, ready to be wowed by Amy. Escorted by her very proud dad, Amy gracefully made her way into the ceremony.
After a beautiful, emotional ceremony everyone enjoyed the drinks reception. Rowton Castle offers a variety of different portrait spots, and we were able to make use of those to capture some beautiful portraits.
