Wedding Videographer Derbyshire

I loved capturing Laura and Dan’s wedding back in August. The day started off nice and early with me heading over to Laura’s parents home to capture her bridal preparations. Bridal preparations are a great way to start capturing the story of a wedding day. You literally don’t miss a moment being captured. After spending a couple of hours with Laura and her bridesmaid I headed over to the church, St Oswald’s to wait for Dan’s arrival.

When I arrived at  St Oswald’s church I took some shots inside the church – it was absolutely stunning. I then went outside to wait for Dan to arrive with his groomsmen. Guests soon started to arrive and everyone made their way into the church and took their seats.

Church Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was lovely, and the vicar had prepared some lovely readings about Laura and Dan and the story of how they met. After the ceremony we managed to get a break in the heavy downpour of rain to get a brilliant confetti shots, with confetti canons included. We then made our way over to Osmaston Park for the drinks reception.

Osmaston Park Wedding Reception

At the drinks reception Laura and Dan enjoyed spending quality time with their family and friends. Everyone loved every bit of the reception. There was a joyful vibe during the reception. I enjoy drifting among the guests to take the best shots and witness the stories unfold as the hours go by.

As the guests were taking their seats inside the marquee for the speeches HBA Photography and I took Laura and Dan off for some portraits. The speeches were fantastic, and bought a tear to many guests eyes. As I’ve mentioned in previous blogs, the speeches are one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. Especially if the speeches are really personal to the couple. I always like to use parts of the speeches to tell the story of the highlight video. And if you watch Laura and Dan’s highlight video above, you’ll see how perfect a good wedding speech is!

After the speeches and the meal we quickly went and took some more portraits and Laura and Dan. We used some of the more interesting backdrops of Osmaston Park. It really is a fantastic venue, with a lot to offer, and I bet it’s beautiful all year round.
