Venue Spotlight: The Upper House

First I want to start by saying I love The Upper House. Everything from the venue itself to the staff is absolutely perfect!

One thing that I particularly love about The Upper House is the history of the venue. It was built in 1845 for Francis Wedgwood, the grandson of Josiah Wedgwood, and everyone knows who Josiah Wedgwood is! Situated just past Trentham Gardens, in Barlaston, The Upper House is a beautiful wedding venue, full of character.

As well as the obvious ties to local history, my favourite thing about The Upper House is the staff. From being welcome to the venue for the first time in 2015 until my most recent wedding there I really feel like the management and staff really do love their jobs, and care about each and every wedding couple. I’ve been lucky to film some lovely weddings at The Upper House, and it’s a special venue to me because my mum and step dad had their wedding there too! They both have nothing but absolutely lovely things to say about The Upper House and the staff.

I always really look forward to going back to The Upper House, and I’m looking forward to filming more weddings there in the future.
