At the beginning of September I made a journey over to Tower Hill Barns in Wrexham, North Wales for the wedding of Lisa and Ed. It was my first time at Tower Hill Barns so I was really excited to be heading over there. When I arrived at the venue I could see just how breathtaking it was, the venue was amazing, and the views around were incredible. It very much reminds me of a venue very local to me, The Ashes.
Following on from the rest of the summer this day was no different, it was absolutely boiling hot – perfect for an outdoor ceremony. Tower Hill Barns has an awesome little outdoor ceremony spot, just under a railway arch, it’s really cool.
Ed arrived shortly after I did, along with his groomsmen. And not long after he was joined by a steady stream of arriving guests. It was soon time for the guests to take their seats for the ceremony to begin. Lisa arrived in a stunning car from Chester Wedding Cars and made her way down to the railway arch for the ceremony.
During the ceremony we had a performance of Danny Boy on the bugle, by a relative of Lisa’s, and a lovely reading of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin from Ed’s brother. After the ceremony the wedding party enjoyed a lovely drinks reception at Tower Hill Barns in the sunshine. The guests were chatting happily, as they enjoyed drinks of their choice. I shot all the activities taking place at the reception. I love capturing summer weddings as the scenery can be spectacular.
After a fantastic reception, it was time to hear the speeches. The speeches are a stylish part of the wedding and a joy to video as a wedding videographer. All in all I had a blast at Lisa and Ed’s wedding.
