Tissington Hall Wedding

I was Alice and Michael’s wedding videographer a few weeks ago, at Tissington Hall in Derbyshire. I hadn’t captured a Tissington Hall wedding before, so I was excited. Of course it’s nice to visit venues you’ve been too, but it’s exciting to visit somewhere fresh and new.

St Mary’s Church is walking distance from Tissington Hall. The church was a perfect location for Alice and Michael to exchange marriage vows. I always like to arrive at the church before the guests. This gives me plenty of opportunity to capture some empty shots of the church. As Michael and the guests arrived they mingled around, soaking up the Derbyshire sunshine. Enjoying drinks from the little café opposite the church.

It was soon time for Michael and the guests to ahead inside the church to wait for Alice’s arrival. Since St Mary’s Church is walking distance from Tissington Hall, Alice, her father and bridesmaids all walked across. It was great to get a beautiful shot of them walking with Tissington Hall in the background.

Church Wedding Ceremony

The wedding service was beautiful and I will always relish the opportunity to cover ceremonies like this in Derbyshire.

Tissington Hall Wedding Reception

After the ceremony the guests walked over to Tissington Hall and enjoyed a wonderful wedding reception. The venue served drinks and everyone had an awesome time. Videoing the reception was interesting and heartwarming. So many moments were caught.

It’s always a delight to video Summer weddings. The sun came out and shone all day, which put a smile on everyones face, and it just meant everyone could get some fresh air on the day.

The time had come for the reception to finish and the speeches to begin so the wedding party took their seats in the marquee and waited patiently. Videoing the speeches is a great part of the day, and I feel like it really ties the day up nicely. Michael’s speech was absolutely beautiful, and bought a tear to everyone’s eye. After the speeches the guests enjoyed a lovely three course meal.

Then it was time to party courtesy of Bliss Wedding DJ. Alice and Michael did their first dance, and shortly after they got all the guests involved in some Greek dancing, celebrating Michael’s heritage!

It was a long time in the planning but Alice and Michael pulled off an astounding wedding. I hope they have the most amazing future together as Mr & Mrs.

Kind Words

Wow – what can I say! Laura has done such a wonderful job on our wedding video. After the wedding I was so desperate to relive the day and honestly this video has been the only thing so far that has taken me right back to the day – it is absolutely beautifully filmed and put together.

Laura was kind and friendly throughout the day and extremely discrete – we were not aware of being filmed at all. Genuinely some of the best money we spent for our big day – I can’t recommend Laura enough!
