The festive period and January flew by and before I knew it, it was time to start the 2019 wedding season!
Amy and Ed booked me after I filmed Amy’s sisters wedding at The Ashes at the start of 2018. It’s always really humbling to be asked to film a family members wedding!
I started the day by heading over to St Edward’s RC Church in Selly Park, Birmingham – what a stunning church! Ed and their guests began to arrive shortly after, so I started capturing the day as it began to unfold.
Amy and her bridesmaids soon arrived and it was time for the ceremony to begin. The ceremony was beautiful, and Amy and Ed were surrounded by their nearest and dearest friends and family members. After the ceremony we headed outside for some photographs and some confetti!
We then headed over to The Abbey Hotel, Reditch, for the drinks reception. The drinks reception is always a great part of the day to capture, because the bride, groom and guests are interacting freely, and enjoying each others company, as well as enjoying drinks and canapes.
It was soon time for the wedding breakfast and the speeches. The speeches were amazing! Amy’s younger sister did a lovely speech, and it made a lot of the guests quite emotional. We also had a wonderful speech from Ed (you can hear some of his speech in the highlight film above).
Amy and Ed originally booked a Tier Two package, which is essentially coverage until the speeches, but a week or so before they changed their mind and upgraded to the Tier Three. This meant I was there for the evening reception and their lovely first dance.
What a great start to the 2019 wedding season! Thank you to Amy & Ed for booking me to capture your day.
