Steffi & Jack’s Combermere Abbey Wedding

I’ve known Steffi since we were both studying Graphic Design at college. We’ve kept in touch since then and so when she got in touch to ask if I’d film hers and Jack’s wedding I was over the moon. Every wedding is of course special, but to be asked to film a friends wedding is just such an honour.

I’ve filmed at Combermere Abbey before and I was very excited to return. My day began with a drone shot, surprise surprise. The weather was warm and dry, so it was perfect flying weather. Once the drone shot was done I made my way to the Orangery to get set up for the ceremony. I like to make sure I’m set up for the ceremony well before it begins, then I can concentrate on capturing arrivals without needing to miss bits to get set up.

Combermere Abbey Wedding Ceremony

Before long it was time for the arrival of the groom. Jack and his groomsmen were excited, but of course a little nervous. Guests began to make their way to the ceremony room, to take their seats. Time always flies on a wedding morning, and before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony to begin.

I headed back to the carpark area to await Steffi’s arrival. She looked incredible! Steffi and her dad had a lovely walk up to the ceremony room, and I quickly sneaked inside to take my place for the ceremony.

One of the bridesmaid’s did a lovely reading, which you can hear in the highlight film. It was great to see Steffi and Jack tie the knot, their family and friends were thrilled.

Combermere Abbey Wedding Reception

After the ceremony all of the guests made their way into the gardens for a confetti shot. Once that was in the bag it was time to enjoy the weather, with a drink or two. The time during the drinks reception is always a great opportunity to get as much footage of the guests as I can. Everyone at the wedding is obviously so important to the couple, so I try my best to capture as many of the guests as I can.

One of the great things about a Combermere Abbey wedding is the grounds! There is such a variety of beautiful backdrops, and they looked even more incredible because the trees still had blossom. Steffi particularly hoped that the blossom would still be around for their day, and it was. We were able to get some beautiful shots of Steffi, Jack and their beautiful little girl.

Before we knew it it was time to head in for the speeches and the meal. The food at Combermere is top notch, so I was super happy to be provided with  a meal. The speeches were fantastic, which is another tick in the box of a great wedding day.

I had a fantastic day capturing Steffi and Jack’s wedding at Combermere Abbey. I have no doubt they’ll have an incredible future together.
