Sarah & Nick’s Staffordshire Farm Wedding

I’ve met Sarah and Nick quite a few times over the years, at various other farm weddings. I was so pleased, and honoured, when they decided to book me to film their wedding day. Sarah and Nick got married in May 2021, so their wedding was still under the COVID-19 restrictions, with limited numbers and mask wearing. That being said it was an absolutely fantastic day.

To begin the day I headed over to Sarah’s parents farm where her and the bridesmaids were getting ready. Bridal preparations is always a really nice way to start the day, and it really sets the film off well. The girls were all chilled, and excited for the day ahead.

Church Wedding Ceremony

After spending a couple of hours with Sarah and the girls it was time for me to head over to St Mary’s Catholic Church in Uttoxeter. Here I met up with Jonathan, the drone pilot for the day! He captured some awesome drone footage of the church. Before long Nick and the guys arrived on their beautiful polished tractors. They headed over to the pub for a drink, while I captured the guests arrived. The guests made their way inside the church and took their seats ready for the ceremony.

Soon Nick was returning from the pub, groomsmen in tow, ready for the arrival of Sarah. And when Sarah did arrive she looked absolutely beautiful. The ceremony was lovely, the vicar had the nicest things to say about Sarah and Nick; it was very heartfelt.

After Sarah and Nick were officially announced husband and wife we all made our way outside. It was gloriously sunny! My favourite. And I know the couple and the guests were happy about the weather too. Sarah and Nick climbed into a tractor and slowly made their way over to the farm for the reception. Jonathan was already waiting at the farm and was able to capture their arrival with the drone.

Farm Wedding Reception

Farm wedding receptions are always really relaxed. And because Sarah and Nick could only have 30 guests this made it feel even more relaxed. Jo Hastings, their chosen photographer, and I had a great time capturing some portraits around the farm. And we even drove out to a nearby rape field!

Before long it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. It was so nice to finally be hearing wedding speeches again after so long, and their speeches didn’t disappoint.

All in all Sarah and Nick put together a fantastic day, and I wish them the most amazing future together and Mr & Mrs.
