Samantha and Andrew’s Meols Hall Wedding
Samantha and Andrew booked me back in 2020. Luckily they’d always planned a 2021 wedding, and that is exactly what they got. They booked me via recommendation from their awesome photographer Paul Waring, so a massive shout out to him! It’s always really complimentary to be recommended by other wedding suppliers.
Anyway, I’d never filmed at Meols Hall before, so I was really excited to work at a new venue. They were having their ceremony at Ormskirk Parish Church so I made my way there first.
Ormskirk Parish Church Wedding Ceremony
Now there was something super, super special about Samantha and Andrew’s wedding ceremony – Andrew’s mum was their vicar. Absolutely awesome, and what a personal touch. This was actually going to be her final wedding ceremony, as she was due to retire. This was a really special touch, and I knew she’d have the most beautiful things to say during the ceremony. Definitely something for the highlight film.
I arrived at the church an hour or so before the ceremony time, and before I knew it the guests were beginning to arrive. Andrew had made his way to the nearby pub to enjoy a quick drink, before returning to greet the guests. Once all of the guests had arrived and they’d all taken their seats it was time for Samantha’s arrival. Paul and I waited outside to capture Samantha arriving with her bridesmaids and her dad. Her dad, very proudly, escorted her up the pathway into church.
As expected the ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt!
Meols Hall Wedding Reception
After the ceremony we all made our way over to Meols Hall to enjoy the reception. It was a beautiful drive, and the weather was gorgeous! Once we arrived I had a quick nose around the venue. All I could say was ‘wow’. It’s beautiful. The wedding breakfast room was gorgeous, and so beautifully decorated too.
After the guests had a chance to grab some drinks Paul rounded them up for some portraits. And once those portraits were done it was time for some couples portraits with our beautiful bride and groom. Meols Hall has some great grounds to explore, so we made the most of that whilst enjoying the sunshine.
It was then time for the wedding breakfast and speeches, followed by a fantastic evening reception. Samantha and Andrew put together a beautiful day and I can’t thank them enough for booking me to capture it.
