Wrexham Farm Wedding
Summer 2018 was spectacular… Fantastic weather and absolutely amazing weddings! The wedding of Natalie and Nicholas was no exception. I started off the day at Natalie’s parents farm in Penley, Wrexham, where Natalie and her bridesmaid’s were in the midst of preparations, and printing table plans!
Bridal preparations are always a great way to start the story of your wedding day. I filmed Natalie and her bridesmaids getting their hair and make up done. Before I knew it, it was time for me to head over to the church. Natalie and Nicholas decided to hold their wedding ceremony at St Chad’s Church, in Hanmer.
I’d never been to St Chads before and it is breathtakingly beautiful! Natalie had arranged for some gorgeous floral arrangements on the archway of the church, and on the pews. Of course, I captured a few shots of these and then headed over to the Hanmer Arm’s to meet up with Nicholas and his groomsmen.
The Hanmer Arms is just a short walk away, so I grabbed my camera and monopod and headed off. Nicholas had arrived shortly before me and was ready and waiting with his groomsmen. I also met Helen Baly, their photographer. Helen and I got a few shots of the groomsmen relaxing as the wedding guests began to arrive.
North Wales Wedding Ceremony
It was soon time for the ceremony. So the groom, with groomsmen and guests in tow, headed over to St Chads to take their places. Luckily the sun was shining gloriously so everyone was enjoying mingling outside the church.
Once everyone had taken their seats inside the church Natalie and her bridesmaids arrived. The ceremony was beautiful, with some really lovely readings spoken by family members.
After the ceremony was over I headed outside and began capturing shots of Natalie and Nicholas being congratulated by their guests. Everyone then started to make their way over to Natalie’s parents North Wales farm for the reception.
Farm Wedding Reception
The reception was a great time to capture lots of shots of guests chatting and laughing, and everyone was in great spirits. It was so hot, so the guests definitely needed the open bar, and they certainly made use of it.
Then it was time for the wedding breakfast, and then, one of my favourite parts of the day – the speeches! The speeches were fantastic, with Natalie’s father delivering a lovely speech, followed by Nicholas’ very emotional speech. And, my favourite part, the best man speech! Nicholas’ brother was his best man, and his speech was amazing – he should hire himself out as a speech writer. Absolutely hilarious!
I had a fantastic day capturing the wedding of Natalie and Nicholas!
