Melissa & Jodi’s Losehill House Wedding
Nestled in the hills of the Derbyshire Peak District, Losehill House is a beautiful spot for a wedding. I was lucky to visit this venue for the first time for the wedding of Melissa and Jodi. They’d booked me on recommendation from Cris from Lowis Photography who they’d booked as their wedding photographer.
When I arrived I made sure to get my drone shots sorted early, as the weather was looking a little bit iffy.
Losehill House Wedding Ceremony
Losehill House offers a few choices for ceremony spot. Melissa and Jodi had opted for the outdoor location. However, the weather had other ideas. One minute it was spitting, the next minute the sun was trying to come out. So their ceremony being outdoors was touch and go for a while. Luckily before the ceremony the rain stayed away and the ceremony was able to go ahead outdoors. And thankfully the rain kept away for the rest of the day.
The ceremony was lovely, with the special touch of a handwritten poem from Melissa’s brother. Which you can hear in their highlight film. It was a pleasure to see Melissa and Jodi tied the knot in front of all of their family and friends.
Losehill House Wedding Reception
After the ceremony was over, Melissa and Jodi signed the register and it was official! They were husband and wife. Hand in hand they left the ceremony, confetti thrown from all directions. They spent time relaxing with their guests, and enjoying the drinks reception. Cris and I stole them away for a little bit to get some couples portraits. There are a lot of great spots around Losehill House, each one offering an incredible view out over the Peak District. These ended up being some of my favourite couples portraits for the 2022 wedding season.
