Meg & Rob’s Grangefields Wedding

Covering Megan and Rob’s wedding at Grangefields was an absolute privilege as a Derbyshire wedding videographer. Earlier in 2021 I actually filmed Rob’s sisters wedding, so it was a real honour that they asked me to capture their big day too.

To start the day I headed straight over to Leigh All Saints Church in Staffordshire, where I captured some footage of the church. Rob arrived in style in a bright yellow JCB tractor convoy, tractors all cleaned and polished ready for the big day. After a few drinks in the pub Rob made his way up to the church, with guests in tow.

Before long it was time for Meg’s arrival. She looked absolutely incredible, her dress was stunning.

Church Wedding Ceremony

Meg and Rob’s ceremony was truly beautiful and heartfelt. Personally, I really like church ceremonies, as the vicars often know the couples personally and have some lovely things to say. Meg and Rob were proudly announced as husband and wife and we all made our way outside for some confetti.

Grangefields Wedding Reception

Meg, Rob and their guests all made their way to Grangefields for the wedding reception. Now, this was my first visit to Grangefields, and WOW! It is absolutely jawdroppingly beautiful. I loved it! I cannot wait to film more weddings here in future. Guests were welcomed with glasses of Prosecco, and were soon joined by Meg and Rob. James Merrick, their wonderful photographer, and I spent time mingling with the guests, before moving on to capture some portraits.

The weather was very windy, and although it had been raining in the morning, it was actually dry. But still very windy and chilly. That being said Meg and Rob were awesome, and happy to get some portraits outdoors before heading in for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

After a delicious wedding breakfast, and some entertaining singing waiters, it was time for the speeches. All three speeches were perfect. Eye wateringly perfect. Rob’s speech was so sweet and heartfelt – if any grooms are looking for tips just check his speech out. The best man’s speech was also incredible, with some fabulous Harry Potter references (big fan here).

Meg and Rob put together an amazing day, and I hope the have the best future. I look forward to bumping into them at many more weddings in the future.
