Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding

Covering Lucy and Richard’s Sandhole Oak Barn wedding was a real privilege as a wedding videographer. They tied the knot in front of family and friends at Odd Rode Church, in Scholar Green. Then followed the ceremony with their reception at Sandhole Oak Barn. Being based in Congleton means I’ve had the pleasure of filming at Sandhole Oak Barn on numerous occasions over the years. And it’s always a venue I love returning to.

It was a beautiful October’s day, with some glorious sunshine, You can’t really ask for more with an autumn wedding, especially as the British weather can be so unpredictable. 

I arrived at church an hour or so before the ceremony, where I met with Richard and their family and friends. Before you knew it, it was time for the ceremony to begin, so Richard and the guests headed inside. Once the guests were tucked away inside the church it was time for the bride to arrive. Lucy looked absolutely stunning!

After a beautiful wedding ceremony Lucy and Richard made their way out of the church, being pelted with confetti on the way. Clara Lou Photography and I took Lucy and Richard across the road for some portraits in a nearby field. The beautifully decorated Sandhole Oak Barn was the perfect spot for the newlyweds to welcome their guests. I moved around the guests, unnoticed, getting some natural shots of everyone enjoying themselves.

After a lovely, relaxing drinks reception the guests made their way into the barn for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The speeches were amazing. Richard absolutely nailed his groom’s speech. He wrote a wonderful poem for Lucy, and it was truly incredible. Of course there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Lucy and Richard put together an absolutely spectacular wedding, and I was so pleased to capture it for them. I wish them both the most amazing future together.
