Cotswolds Wedding Film
In October I joined the wonderful Lucy and Chris to capture their Lapstone Barn wedding film. It was great to work alongside the awesome Kate Hollingsworth, even more so as we haven’t seen each other in so long.
Lapstone Barn is a fair drive from Cheshire so I set off nice and early. The first thing I did when I arrived was explore the venue, and WOW, it was stunning. My first Cotswold wedding film and I knew it was going to be a good one.
Lucy and Chris’ guests began arriving, and I captured their arrivals.
Wedding Ceremony at Lapstone Barn
The morning of a wedding always flies and it was soon time for the guests to make their way into the ceremony barn. Guest numbers were still limited, but not too limited, so Lucy and Chris were still able to have a nice amount of guests.
Chris was mic’d up and waiting at the front of the ceremony for his beautiful bride Lucy. Lucy’s brother had the great pleasure of walking her down the aisle and giving her away to her new husband.
The lovely bride and groom exchanged personalised wedding vows, which I always love. You can hear them in their highlight film below. After the vows, and exchanging rings, Lucy and Chris were pronounced husband and wife.
Drinks Reception at Lapstone Barn
After a wonderful, emotional ceremony we all headed into the sitting area, where the guests enjoyed drinks.
Unfortunately, it was drizzling a little so we had to do the families portraits indoors. This is absolutely not a problem at Lapstone Barn, as it is just stunning inside.
Kate and I stole Lucy and Chris for some couples portraits. This is always a nice opportunity for the bride and groom to take it all in, away from the craziness of guests.
Speeches at Lapstone Barn
After a delicious wedding breakfast, it was time for the speeches. Lucy’s mum made a beautiful speech and had the loveliest things to say to Lucy and Chris.
The speeches are honestly one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. They let me get to know the couple better, and this allows me to create an even more amazing wedding film for them.
After the speeches, it was time for a nice and relaxed evening reception. And something super exciting happened! With Lucy’s blessing, her brother proposed to his girlfriend, and of course, she said yes! How exciting!
It was an absolute pleasure to capture the wedding of Lucy and Chris at Lapstone Barn.
