Lizzy & Rob’s Shropshire Farm Wedding

Lizzy and Rob booked me after meeting me at numerous other farm weddings over the years. It’s always so meaningful when someone books me from recommendation, or meeting me at a previous wedding. I even got to bump into some familiar guests and past couples at their wedding.

En route to the wedding I made a quick detour to collect my new Jeep Compass – a 4×4 ready for snow this winter, I set off extra early and ended up arriving at church an hour earlier than I’d expected. Unfortunately it was pretty wet and drizzly so I got a few shots of the church then hid away from the rain, waiting for Rob and his groomsmen to arrive.

They arrived in beautiful cleaned and polished tractors, and headed into the pub opposite the church.

Shropshire Church Wedding Ceremony

I’d had the pleasure of filming at Lizzy and Rob’s church a few years ago, for Julia and Chris. It’s a beautiful church and one I enjoy filming at. Once the boys had finished up at the pub they made a quick dash across the road (trying not to get soaked) ready for the ceremony. Guests had already started to take their seats in the church.

It was soon time for Lizzy and her beautiful bridesmaids to arrive; they all looked absolutely amazing. Lizzy was escorted to her groom, by her very proud father. After a gorgeous ceremony Lizzy and Rob were finally announced husband and wife.

Shropshire Farm Wedding Reception

After the ceremony we all made our way back outside to head over to the farm for the reception. Lizzy and Rob had a huge marquee set up, it was amazing! The inside was absolutely massive. Guests began arriving and were making the most of the free bar.

The couples photographer and I captured some portraits of Lizzy and Rob, trying to make the most of a break in the rain. It was soon time for the wedding breakfast, and everyone enjoyed a delicious three course meal.

Then it was time for the speeches! The speeches were fantastic. Lizzy and Rob planned a beautiful wedding and I hope they have the most amazing future together. I also look forward to seeing them at friends and family weddings over the years.
