Laura & Stuart’s Cheshire Farm Wedding
Summer 2021 has finally bought some normality back to the wedding industry. It’s been fantastic being back at the tripod, filming weddings again finally. I had such a wonderful day filming Laura and Stuart’s Cheshire wedding film. Having met Laura at a couple weddings over the years I was overjoyed she chose to book me to capture her wedding film.
I first headed over to Laura’s parents farm in Nantwich, where I filmed Laura and her bridesmaids getting ready. Everyone was so happy and relaxed, and there was a lovely atmosphere. I think partly a massive sigh of relief that Laura and Stuart were finally able to get married, having had to postpone their original date.
Bunbury Church Wedding Ceremony
Laura and Stuart tied the knot at Bunbury Church in Tarporley. They chose to add on drone footage to their wedding film package. So I met up with drone operator, Andy, at the church a couple of hours before the ceremony. Andy captured some amazing drone shots of the church. Stuart spent his time greeting family and friends outside the church, before heading inside ready to take his spot at the front.
It was soon time for Laura’s arrival, so the usher’s made sure the guests had taken their seats. Laura pulled up in a beautiful vintage car, which Andy captured with the drone. Drones always offer a different perspective, definitely one I’m not able to achieve at 5ft3″. Laura looked absolutely radiant, with the biggest smile on her face. And that smile continued throughout the entire ceremony. Her expression was just one of pure joy.
Cheshire Farm Wedding Reception
After a beautiful ceremony, with a handwritten poem, and some wonderful vows Laura and Stuart were officially husband and wife! We all headed out of the church, and made our way back over to the farm for the reception. But not before Laura and Stuart were pelted with copious amounts of confetti (which also smelled lovely).
Having use of the amazing farm land Laura and Stuart opted to have a massive marquee set up. This is one of the big benefits of farm weddings, there’s so much room to have a marquee, tipi’s etc. I spent some time capturing the guests and the couple enjoying the day, and just generally enjoying a sense of freedom again. I also had chance to catch up with some familiar faces!
Before long it was time for the speeches, one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. The speeches always offer me a great opportunity to learn more about the bride and groom. Stuart wrote a beautiful poem for Laura, and it was beautiful. You can hear the poem used throughout the highlight film. I always give extra brownie points to a groom who writes his own poem for his speech.
Laura and Stuart put together an incredible wedding day, and I was super pleased to capture it for them. I wish them both the most amazing future together, and I look forward to bumping into them at many more weddings in future.
