Jess & Henry’s DIY Farm Wedding
Jess and Henry found me via Jess’ mum. I’d actually met her at a previous farm wedding in North Wales a few years back. It was such an honour to then be asked to capture her daughters wedding. I was looking forward to the day, as farm weddings are often one of my favourite types of wedding.
I made my way to their church in Overton On Dee, where I was able to capture some footage outside the venue before the rain began. Unfortunately the weather meant that I wasn’t able to get the drone up for a shot of the church. Jess and Henry had loads of wedding guests so the church was packed.
Church Wedding Ceremony
Jess and Henry had actually officially gotten married in 2021, during the wedding ban of covid-19. So today was to celebrate their wedding, and also a chance for them to renew their vows in front of their loved ones. It was lovely to see them say their vows again, especially since they were able to have all of their family and friends with them for such a special moment.
DIY Farm Wedding Reception
After the ceremony we made our way over to Jess’ parents farm in Erbistock, where a huge marquee was set up. The sun was finally shining and the guests all enjoyed the drinks reception outside in the sunshine. I managed to get some drone shots during the drinks reception.
After the drinks reception it was time for the speeches. All three speeches were brilliant – as you can hear in the highlight film above.
