Jade & Haydon’s Blakelands County House Wedding
Jade and Haydon booked me for their Blakelands Country House wedding back in 2020, so waiting for their day had been a long time coming. They’d unfortunately had to postpone their original date.
Blakelands Country House is a beautiful 1700’s house, nestled in the South Staffordshire Countryside. It offers beautiful grounds, including a walled garden, and a lake.
Jade, a perfectionist, had put so much effort into every little detail at the wedding, so I knew it was vital that I captured as much as I could. A lot of effort goes into all of the little details, and it’s easy to forget those details after the wedding. When I arrived I spent time capturing all of those little details, ahead of the guests arriving.
Soon the guests began to arrive and the venue started to fill up. Haydon and his groomsmen arrived and spent time greeting the arriving guests.
Blakelands Country House Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony room at Blakelands Country House is a beautiful barn room, offering plenty of space for your guests. The room was beautifully decorated by Clare’s Weddings, who I’ve worked with at previous weddings. It was soon time for the guests to take their seats for the ceremony, and Haydon nervously awaited the arrival of his bride.
Jade was escorted by her super proud dad, always a touching moment of a wedding ceremony. One of my favourite parts of a wedding ceremony is when the couple choose to write their own vows, and Jade and Haydon did not disappoint! Their vows were beautiful, emotional and romantic. You can hear them in their highlight film, for inspiration if you need some.
It was truly a pleasure to see Jade and Haydon tie the knot.
Blakelands Country House Wedding Reception
Once the formalities were over it was time to enjoy the drinks reception. Guests made their way outside into the courtyard and enjoyed some delicious canapés as well as music from George Simpson. The drinks reception is always the perfect opportunity for family portraits, followed by couples portraits. Blakelands Country House offers a variety of locations that are perfect for couples portraits. Summer weddings usually allow us to make the most of the venues grounds, especially if the ground is dry.
Then it was time for the speeches, and they were fantastic! Definitely the kind of speeches I expected from a family as lovely as Jade and Haydon’s.
