Hollie & Benjamin’s Hales Hall Wedding
A busy August flowed nicely into a busy September. Such a stark contrast to only 8 weddings throughout 2020. Hollie and Benjamin contacted me in May to see if I was free for their date, and I’m glad that I was.
Their ceremony was at Freeway St Chad’s Church, so of course that’s where I headed first. Unfortunately when I arrived the church was still locked up, but this didn’t stop me getting some shots of the church exterior. The vicar arrived not too long after and I was able to get inside and start setting up for the ceremony.
It wasn’t much longer until Ben and his best man arrived. Ben was wearing a beautiful light blue suit, he looked awesome. It’s nice to see a groom wearing something a little different than navy blue or grey. Ben was so excited!
Becc Photography the couples photographer also arrived. I’d not worked with Becc before, and it was lovely to meet her and have a quick chat before the ceremony.
Freehay St Chad’s Church Wedding Ceremony
Once the guests were all nestled away in the church it was time for Hollie to arrive. She arrived in a really cool, vintage car (forgive me, I don’t know what kind – but you can see it in the highlight film). She looked exceptional. As she walked down the aisle, Ben was overcome with emotion. The ceremony was truly beautiful, and I have to mention Hollie’s sisters reading. It was absolutely perfect! So emotional, and well thought out. I wonder if she hires herself out to do readings at other weddings?
It was a pleasure to see Hollie and Benjamin seal their vows and become husband and wife.
Hales Hall Wedding Reception
After the ceremony we all made our way over to Hales Hall for the reception. Becc captured some family portraits, and I mingled around the guests, capturing them enjoying the drinks reception. The sun was shining and it was perfect.
The guests were then asked to make their way in for the wedding breakfast. An absolutely delicious meal was followed with the speeches. The speeches were great, especially Ben’s of course! It was an absolute pleasure to capture Hollie and Ben’s wedding day, and I hope they have an incredible future together.
