In mid-March wedding season began! After a few months of corporate video work it was finally time to get back to weddings. I first met Jenny and Sanj back in June 2017, and since first meeting them I was super excited for their wedding. They’d planned two ceremonies! A civil ceremony just after midday, and a Hindu ceremony for a few hours later. I’d never filmed a Hindu wedding ceremony before, so I was a little nervous, but mostly excited to capture something new.

Their whole day took place at Heaton House Farm, a beautiful country wedding venue in Cheshire. It’s been a while since I last filmed a wedding at Heaton House Farm, so I was looking forward to returning to the venue, as the venue and staff are all really nice.

Now, I expected the weather to be great, especially since I got married last March and we had a lovely day. However, I was wrong – snow was forecast. Apparently Jenny had actually been wanting snow for the wedding day, so it was perfect for them, albeit a little bit chilly (that’s an understatement, we nearly lost our faces and hands to frostbite).

I arrived a few hours before the civil ceremony so that I could capture all the amazing details put together by Jenny and Sanj. Their wedding breakfast decorations were amazing, have a look at them in their video below. You could really tell that they’d both put a lot of time and effort into getting all of their wedding details absolutely perfect.

Sanj arrived at Heaton House Farm in an awesome blue camper van from Blue Pumpkin VW wedding hire. I’ve met Richard, and the camper Tilly, at a number of weddings over the years now, so it was really nice to see them again and say hi! Sanj then spent time mingling with his wedding guests, and trying to not look too nervous.

The civil ceremony began around 13:30. We had two beautiful readings, one from one of the three best men, and another from Jenny’s brother. Both readings were lovely and really added to the emotion of the day.

After the ceremony it was time for pizza and drinks! Jenny and Sanj booked a really cool pizza van from Woodland Rover Log Fired Pizza. Their guests were busy tucking into the pizza while myself and Damian Brandon, their photographer, took Jenny and Sanj outside for a few shots. It was freezing cold, but Jenny and Sanj were tough and battled through the cold, wintery air.

It was soon time for the Hindu ceremony so Jenny and Sanj went to get changed into the second outfits. Sanj was then drummed into the ceremony by Dhol Drummers. We walked the loop around Heaton House Farm before Sanj was greeted to be escorted into the ceremony by Jenny’s parents. The Hindu ceremony was really interesting, especially as I’d never filmed a Hindu wedding before.

After the Hindu ceremony it was soon time for the wedding breakfast and the speeches! Jenny and Sanj had five speeches altogether, and they were all great. You can hear some snippets from the speeches in their highlight video below.

I had a truly fantastic day with Jenny and Sanj, capturing their Heaton House Farm wedding video, and it was great to be back into weddings ready for 2018. Take a look at their highlight video to see what a fantastic day we had.
