Georgina & Thomas’ Buddileigh Farm Wedding
Georgina and Thomas were my final August 2022 wedding, and I couldn’t wait to capture their day at Buddileigh Farm. I’d not been to Buddileigh Farm before, so I was excited to visit somewhere new. Georgina and Thomas had unfortunately had to postpone their original wedding date, and I’d chatted to them so much on the run up to the wedding.
It was great to work alongside Adam Lowndes for the day too. It’s always nice to work with friends at a wedding.
Church Wedding Ceremony
Georgina and Thomas held their ceremony at St Marks Church in Basford, again I’d never actually visited this church either. When I arrived I was able to grab some cool drone footage of the church and surrounding areas. I’ve really enjoyed having the drone with me for the 2022 wedding season.
Thomas arrived nice and early, so early that the church was still locked and we were all waiting outside for it to be unlocked. The guests soon began to arrive and Tom spent time welcoming them and chatting away.
Once the guests had made their way into church it was time for Georgina to arrive. She arrived looking stunning, in a traditional wedding car from Always and Forever. Thomas was absolutely overcome with emotion as she walked down the aisle.
After the wedding ceremony Georgina’s bridesmaid had arranged a singing flashmob as they left the church! A total surprise to Georgina and Thomas, who were crying tears of joy. A beautiful touch!
Buddileigh Farm Wedding Reception
It was then time for us all to head over to Buddileigh Farm for the wedding reception. Guests were welcomed with drinks and canapés (including the classic Staffordshire Oatcake). I spent time capturing the guests as they enjoyed the atmosphere.
The time flew and it was soon time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. But first Adam and I whisked Georgina and Thomas off for some couples portraits. Buddileigh has a nice variety of portrait locations and we were able to make good use of them. We also popped back out during golden hour for a few more portraits!
The speeches were fantastic! Nothing can beat good wedding speeches.
