Five years of wedding videos
May 25th 2013 was the date of my very first wedding as Vision Wave Weddings, so today Vision Wave Weddings is officially five years old! This bank holiday weekend will also mark the 99th and 100th weddings, so it’s definitely a weekend of celebration.
Over the last five years I’ve filmed so many different wedding videos, for so many different couples, at some of the most amazing wedding venues in Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire. From starting out with just one video camera and a microphone to now upgrading and expanding my kit to use some of the best cameras available on the market, Vision Wave Weddings really has grown and evolved. It’s crazy to look back at those first few weddings and see how much has changed.
The amount of weddings I get to film every year has grown year after year, and 2018 is set to beat 2017 as the best year yet! 2017 was a fantastic year for Vision Wave Weddings as I was finally able to kick the full time job. I had spent the previous four years as a videographer at various companies, and filming weddings too. Back in 2013 if you had told me that in five years time Vision Wave Weddings would be a full time wedding videography company there’s no way I would’ve believed you. But, believe it or not here we are today!
This time five years ago I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of Joanne & Jonathan, at St Peter’s Church in Hixon, and their wedding reception at The Moat House Acton Trussell. Since then I’ve returned to Acton Trussell a number of times, and it’s certainly a venue that I enjoy filming at. After all, it was where Vision Wave began its first steps to becoming a full time wedding videography company.
Since then I’ve filmed at so many different venues, and met so many different suppliers – some of whom I booked for my own wedding in March 2017.
I’d like to thank each and everyone of the couples that has booked me to film their wedding day, I certainly wouldn’t be here today without you all – especially those that booked Vision Wave Weddings in its infancy! I’d also like to say thank you to all of the fantastic suppliers, and venues, I’ve met along the way. Starting my own business at 23 was a nerve wracking thing, but with the support and advice of a number of other wedding suppliers it was definitely a lot less daunting.
