Fiona & Charlie’s Alrewas Hayes Wedding

Fiona and Charlie booked me for their August 2022 wedding. The start of a busy week for me with five weddings in total! It also ended up being one of the hottest weekends of the year, it was a challenge. But I had a great week, and had the pleasure of capturing five beautiful weddings.

I’d been looking forward to Fiona and Charlie’s wedding since they booked me. Alrewas Hayes is a beautiful venue for a wedding, and I was excited to go back there, having not been there for a couple of years.

I began the day capturing Fiona’s bridal preparations. The girls were lovely, and so relaxed, having their hair and make up done ready for the big day. It was lovely to work alongside Dan Round again too, I hadn’t seen him for years!

I spent a couple of hours with the girls, before heading to grab a few shots of Charlie doing his finished preps. It was then time to head over to the church.

Church Wedding Ceremony

I’d filmed at All Saints Church before, and it was lovely to go back. The church is huge inside, and it’s absolutely lovely, the perfect spot for a church wedding. It was so hot outside that once the guests arrived they pretty much went straight inside the church to sit down in the cool. As nice as the hot weather is, it can be particularly uncomfortable on a wedding day, especially for the guys who are often wearing three piece suits.

Once the guests were all inside the church it was time for the ceremony to begin. Fiona arrived with her very proud dad, who walked her down the aisle and handed her over to Charlie.

After the ceremony we headed outside and grabbed a confetti shot, before making our way over to Alrewas Hayes.

Alrewas Hayes Wedding Reception

Obviously because the weather was so glorious the guests were able to enjoy the time outdoors. They were enjoying drinks and canapés, and I spent time capturing them having fun.

Dan and I whisked Fiona and Charlie off for some portraits, making the most of the beautiful weather and grounds that Alrewas Hayes offers. We also went back out for more portraits later, during golden hour, when it was considerably cooler.

After the drinks reception the guests headed into the marquee for the wedding breakfast and speeches. A beautiful day, for a really beautiful couple. It was a pleasure to see Fiona and Charlie tie the knot.
