A few weeks ago I shot the wedding of Felicity and Phil. Felicity booked me after I captured her sisters wedding back in 2016. It’s always really nice, and a huge compliment, to have family or friends of past couples book you for their wedding!
Felicity and Phil chose to get married at Colwich Parish Church, so I made my way there in the morning to get set up. It was soon time for Phil to arrive with his groomsmen, and he enjoyed greeting the wedding guests who began to arrive shortly after.
Phil and the guests made their way into the church, and nervously awaiting Felicity’s arrival. To no surprise of Phil or the guests Felicity arrived early, and the ceremony began. We had some beautiful readings from their friends and family, and it was a pleasure to see them tie the knot in front of their loved ones.
After the ceremony we left the church and headed over to celebrate at Colton Village Hall in Rugeley, Staffordshire.
During the wedding reception we shot some portraits and formal photographs. The reception was full of spectacular energy and joyful laughter. I shot all the activities taking place at the reception.
I love shooting early autumnal weddings as the scenery can be spectacular. Felicity and Phil were lucky to have a sunny day, which lit up the venue nicely, and it just meant everyone could get some fresh air on the day.
After the potraits it was time for the speeches and the wedding breakfast. I enjoy listening to speeches, you get a chance to find out about the bridal party.
It was a long time in the planning but Felicity and Phil pulled off a breathtaking wedding and I just know they will build a fantastic life together.
