Emma & Ashley’s Hawkstone Hall Wedding
Emma and Ashley’s wedding was absolutely incredible. Definitely one of my favourites of all time. Emma booked my through recommendation of my awesome photographer friend Kate Hollingsworth. Working with Kate is always a pleasure, we are guaranteed an awesome day. So, not only was I ecstatic to be working with Kate again, I was also looking forward to a new venue. I’d not visited Hawkstone Hall before, but it looked jaw-dropping on Google. I arrived nice and early, and was absolutely stunned when I drove towards the venue. It’s just breathtaking.
I met up with Emma and her entourage in the bridal prep suite. This has to be one of the most incredible bridal prep rooms I’ve seen. It’s massive, with windows adorning both sides of the room, so the room is just full of natural light. Emma was so overjoyed that it was finally her and Ashley’s special day. I captured Emma’s bride prep, and then it was time to meet Ashley and the guys. They were hanging out in The Cave, a super cool area with a pool table, and games consoles. The boys were hyper to say the least! I could already tell that the day was going to be full of energy.
Hawkstone Hall Wedding Ceremony
Hawkstone Hall has the most beautiful chapel that can be used for a ceremony, it’s simply stunning. When it was soon time for the ceremony I made my way across and got everything set up. The guests were soon ushered into the room, and Ashley nervously took his place.
The bridal entrance was unique, and I thought it was amazing. Each bridesmaid was escorted individually down the aisle by a separate usher, walking in time with the music that was playing. Then it was time for Emma’s arrival. A moment of hush filled the room as Emma and her dad made their way through the doors. Emma looked absolutely beautiful. Words cannot even do justice, and you could just tell that by the look on Ashley’s face.
The ceremony was great, all put together by one of Emma’s bridesmaids, complete with a gospel choir. Emma and Ashley’s pastor delivered some heartfelt and touching words about the two of them, and it was OFFICIAL. Emma and Ashley were Mr & Mrs.
Hawkstone Hall Wedding Reception
After the ceremony Emma, Ashley and their guests made their way back outside to enjoy the drinks reception. The weather was absolutely scorching! After a cooling drink, I headed back into the sun to capture the guests enjoying the reception. Kate and I got some family portraits. Before whisking Emma and Ashley off for some couples portraits.
The guests then began to make their way into the wedding breakfast, where they enjoyed a delicious three course meal. It was then time for the speeches. Now, this is where Emma and Ashley did things a little differently. They had a massive 22 speeches; siblings, grandparents, godparents. It was truly lovely to hear all the nice things everyone had to say about Emma and Ashley.
Emma and Ashley had an absolutely wonderful day, and it’s definitely been one of my favourites of the wedding season. I hope they have an amazing future together as husband and wife.
