Colleen & Tom’s The Plough Inn Wedding

Colleen and Tom’s wedding day at The Plough Inn was an absolute honour to be a part of. I’ve known Colleen for quite a few years now, since I worked at Vodafone with her. Being booked for any wedding is special, but being booked by a friend is even more special.

I began the day by heading over to the All Saints Odd Rode Church in Scholar Green, where I first got a drone shot. It wasn’t long before Tom arrived, along with their lovely dog Jasper, and of course the groomsmen.

Church Wedding Ceremony

I’ve actually been to this church in Scholar Green before, so it was really lovely to be back. It’s a beautiful, big church, with loads of light which always makes filming easier. Tom excitedly chatting with guests as they arrived, and it was soon time for everyone to begin taking their seats.

I headed outside to film Colleen’s arrival. Arriving in a traditional wedding car Colleen looked incredible, and was beaming from ear to ear. Escorted by her lovely brother, Colleen made her way down the aisle to Tom. The two exchanged vows in a lovely ceremony, and it really was so exciting to watch.

The Plough Inn Wedding Reception

After a lovely wedding ceremony it was time to head outside for a confetti shot, followed by family portraits. Once they were done we headed to The Plough Inn at Eaton for the drinks reception. When we arrived all the guests were already there, enjoying drinks and canapés.

This was my first time visiting The Plough Inn, despite only living literally one minute away. It’s a beautiful little Cheshire wedding venue, where I am now pleased to be a recommended supplier.

The wedding breakfast room is a beautiful oak barn, with beams running across the room. Probably my trickiest room to film in, but I have a sneaky little set up that works perfectly. The challenge is always fun!

After a delicious three course meal, and wonderful speeches, Adam Lowndes and I whisked Colleen and Tom away for some couples portraits. I’ve walked past The Plough quite a few times since moving to Congleton so I knew a cool little spot we could check out for portraits. It’s a little path next to a church, doesn’t look like much, but I knew it would be perfect for us! We then made our way back across the road to a park, where Tom and Colleen took five and had a play on the swings.

An absolutely incredible day!

But our story didn’t really end there. Colleen and Tom were honeymooning in the exact same place that Pete and I were about to go on holiday. Coronado Springs in Disney World, Florida. Totally unplanned, and hilarious. Our holiday and their honeymoon took a bit of a weird turn when we got caught up in Hurricane Ian. So Colleen, Tom, Pete and I actually spent the two hurricane days together, playing board games, followed by two theme park days. And it was awesome!
