Clare & Josh’s Heaton House Farm Wedding
My final wedding of the 2022 wedding season couldn’t have happened any later in the year. New Years Eve! What a fabulous way to celebrate the end of the year. Clare and Josh enquired with me all the way at the start of the year, and decided to book with me in the summer. I was so pleased when they decided that they’d like me to film their wedding. Heaton House Farm is one of my favourite Cheshire wedding venues, and I’d not been there for a couple of months, so I was looking forward to going back.
I arrived at Heaton House Farm a couple of hours before the ceremony, and managed to get some drone footage of the venue. The forecast wasn’t looking fantastic so I made sure I got the drone shots in the bag nice and early.
Soon it was time for the boys to arrive.
Heaton House Farm Wedding Ceremony
Heaton House Farm has a few different wedding ceremony options, and Clare and Josh chose to have their ceremony inside – a sensible choice for a December wedding! Guests began to take their seats, and Josh waited at the front of the room, excitedly!
Clare looked radiant as she made her way down the aisle with her dad. During the ceremony we were treated to a lovely reading from friends. One I’d never heard before!
Heaton House Farm Wedding Reception
After the ceremony it was time for the drinks reception, and everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés. We were fortunate in that we could do a confetti shot outside, and we also managed to have a quick portrait session in the water garden. However, it was a little drizzly and freezing cold – not the most favourable condition for a bride. Clare and Josh toughed it out though, and we managed to grab a few shots.
Once everyone was warmed up inside it was time to head in for the wedding breakfast. Themed in a super glam 1920’s style, the room looked stunning. After a delicious three course wedding breakfast it was time for the speeches.
Clare and Josh put together and fantastic day, and it was truly an honour to film for them.
We decided to book a videographer relatively late on as we still had some money left in our budget, but now I can’t believe we ever considered not booking one! I highly recommend Laura! We found Laura through a few recommendations online and she was absolutely fantastic.
The communication before the day was great, Laura was always quick to respond to emails and was very organised. On the day, Laura was so friendly and professional that it made us feel at ease (I found it a bit daunting knowing I was going to be filmed). A number of guests commented on how lovely Laura was and how she was discrete in filming so it didn’t feel like you had a camera shoved in your face all day.
Laura had already prepared a sneak peak of the wedding day by the time we were having breakfast the morning after the wedding! It has been amazing watching the video back, Laura captured the day perfectly and we are so happy we have this to remember the day in the years to come.
