Moddershall Oaks Wedding
Catherine and Sean’s wedding at Moddershall Oaks was one of the highlights of the 2018 wedding season. I had been to Moddershall Oaks in the past, but not been there since the end of 2015, so it was really nice to return!
Moddershall Oaks is nestled in the Staffordshire country, not too far from Stone. It’s such a charming place and the additions they’ve made to the outdoor ceremony area since I was last there are amazing. The first thing I did when I arrived was have a little nosey around the outdoor ceremony area, which is absolutely stunning. After that I headed up to Catherine and her bridesmaids who were busy getting their hair and make up done. Bridal prepations is full of great little moments and it really sets the story of the day.
Sean arrived not too long after, so I popped down to him to say hi and get a few shots of him as he put on his uniform.
Wedding Ceremony at Moddershall Oaks
Friends and family looked on as Catherine and Sean exchanged rings in a very emotional outdoor ceremony at Moddershall Oaks. It is an honour to cover a wedding ceremony of an unbelievable couple like this one in Staffordshire. After the ceremony Catherine and Sean were covered in confetti by their guests – this is always a fun moment of every wedding. It was then time for Catherine and Sean to mingle and relax with their guests, before having some photographs. Moddershall Oaks provides the perfect backdrops for the portraits, and I always enjoy being alongside the photographer, and it was great to work alongside Lucas Vale Photography.
Drinks Reception at Moddershall Oaks
The reception was very warm, colourful and welcoming – and we had some beautiful music from a bagpiper too! Chasing each special moment is my mission as a wedding videographer. Summer weddings let me get the best of each moment. The sun came out and shone all day, which made the guests happy.
After the a delicious wedding breakfast, everyone waited eagerly for the speakers to deliver their messages. Catherine and Sean’s speeches were amazing! Honestly, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Catherine’s fathers speech has firmly placed itself as one of my favourite father of the bride speeches.
The evening reception carried on the fun of the day, and Catherine, Sean and their guests partied! They decided to have their first dance outdoors, in the same place they’d had their ceremony earlier in the day. It was awesome, I’ve never filmed an outdoor first dance.
