Catherine & Louis’ Tern Hill Hall Wedding

Catherine and Louis’ day was long awaited, postponements, venue changes. But it FINALLY arrived. I’d spoken to Catherine a lot throughout the pandemic, so I was over the moon that it was finally their day.

I began the day by heading over to Catherine’s parents house, where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. They were all so excited! Bridal preparations is always a nice way to start the day, it provides a great opening for the final films.

I spent a couple of hours with Catherine and the girls, before making my way over to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newcastle.

Holy Trinity Catholic Church Wedding Ceremony

The Holy Trinity Catholic Church is a massive, imposing church, on the A34 in Newcastle-under-Lyme. I’d driven past the church so many times over the years, since I grew up in Newcastle, but I’d never actually been inside. The inside was just as big, with a beautiful alter area. I grabbed a couple of shots inside, before guests began arriving.

Louis and his groomsmen soon arrived, and began welcoming guests. Louis was very cool, calmed and collected, he didn’t seem nervous at all. Shortly before Catherine was due to arrive I made my way outside and waited. She pulled up and her lovely Godson helped her out, and after a quick hair and makeup check Catherine made her way into the church.

Tern Hill Hall Wedding Reception

It was great to see Catherine and Louis finally tie the knot. It was a very long awaited day, and everyone was overjoyed for them. After the ceremony the guests loaded onto a coach and made their way over to Tern Hill Hall for the reception.

Tern Hill is maybe about a 30-40 minute drive from the church, and it was a nice summer day, so the drive out was lovely. Upon arrival the guests were welcomed with drinks, and they headed into the garden to enjoy the weather.

Tern Hill has a variety of grounds for portraits, which their photographer, Joe (One Little Daisy) made great use of. It was great to see such a large amount of family and friends being able to get together and enjoy themselves after so long.

It soon became time for the wedding breakfast and speeches, so everyone made their way into the wedding breakfast room and took their seats. After a delicious three course meal it was speech time! The speeches were wonderful, Louis did a wonderful job. And so did his best man, my previous groom Joe!

It was a truly lovely day, and so nice to bump into my past couple, Emma and Joe, as well as another couple whose day I’m filming in 2022. All in all a perfect day, and a pleasure to be a part of.
