I’ve known Becki for around 24 years, after first meeting her at primary school. Becki has regularly recommended me to her friends, and I’m booked to capture one of her bridesmaids weddings in 2020. Becki’s fiancé, Matt, was too nervous to have a wedding video, so it was something they hadn’t actually looked into themselves. However, with the help of Becki’s mum and her bridesmaid, Lauren, I got booked as a Christmas surprise!
One Christmas Day Becki messaged me with absolute excitement, and was really happy about the surprise. After knowing Becki for pretty much all of my life I was really excited to be able to capture her wedding day for her.
Wedding Ceremonies at The Three Horseshoes
The wedding day soon arrived and I headed over to The Three Horseshoes, where I met up with Cris from Lowis Photography. The Three Horseshoes is a Boutique Inn and Spa lying on the edge of the Staffordshire Peak Park. The views and landscapes around the venue are simply breathtaking.
I headed straight into Becki and her bridesmaids to capture them getting ready. They were all lively, chatty and excited for the day ahead.
Becki had booked some surprise transport to get Matt to The Three Horseshoes. He arrived in style in a three wheeler styled like the one from Only Fools and Horses! Being a big Only Fools and Horses fan, Matt was ecstatic.
We headed inside and Matt began to greet the arriving guests. It was soon time for the wedding ceremony to begin and the guests began to take their seats. Matt stood at the front of the ceremony, waiting nervously for Becki to make her way down.
Peak District Wedding
After the ceremony Becki and Matt mingled with their guests and enjoyed some delicious ice cream! We soon headed off up into the Peak District to get some awesome couples shots with Lowis Photography.
One of the best things about The Three Horseshoes as a wedding venue is its location. The surrounding area is absolutely amazing, and offers some incredible backdrops for couples shots. It was very windy up on the hills so we had to be careful, especially as Becki was wearing heels. Matt was fine of course, a seasoned pro with the Peak District hills.
After we’d got some awesome wedding shots we headed back to the venue for the wedding breakfast and the speeches.
Becki and Matt had a fabulous wedding day, and it really was a pleasure to capture!
