In September I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of Becci and Luke at Hoar Cross Hall. I’d been looking forward to this wedding for almost a year, since Luke’s mum got in touch with me shortly before Christmas 2018 to book a wedding video as a Christmas surprise for Becci and Luke! I immediately set to work on putting a little gift box together, complete with a couple of Yankee Candles and some gift vouchers so they knew what the gift was. Becci and Luke were ecstatic!
The wedding soon rolled around and I headed over to Hoar Cross Hall to capture Luke’s arrival. After Luke had arrived and he went inside the venue to get changed, I made my way over to the Church of the Holy Angels. Guests soon began to arrive, and Luke along with them. Everyone made their way inside the church to await the start of the ceremony. I captured Becci as she made the walk to the church, she looked absolutely beautiful, with her dad proudly walking by her side.
The ceremony was beautiful, with some really touching readings from family and friends. It was wonderful to see Becci and Luke tie the knot in front of their loved ones. After the ceremony we made our way outside for confetti! Once Becci and Luke were COVERED in confetti we walked over to Hoar Cross Hall for their drinks reception.
Weddings at Hoar Cross Hall
Becci and Luke enjoyed spending quality time with their family and friends and loved every bit of their reception. Everyone seemed pleased and were enjoying themselves as drinks kept coming. I waited for the perfect timing to video as many moments as I could.
After the reception the guests headed in for the wedding breakfast, and we quickly whisked Becci and Luke away for some couples portraits. The grounds at Hoar Cross Hall are incredible, and there are lots of backdrops for photographs. It’s great fun to explore with the bride and groom, and find some great spots!
We headed in for the wedding breakfast, and when everyone had finished it was time for the speeches. The speeches are always one of my favourite parts of the day, I absolutely love hearing groom speeches in particular, and Luke’s speech was absolutely no exception. Luke nervously took the floor as he began the story of how he proposed to Becci; there was not a single dry eye in the room. He did a fantastic job!
All in all I had a blast at Becci and Luke’s wedding and I won’t forget that one in a long time.
