Time for another beautiful summer 2018 wedding? This time I was at one of my favourite Staffordshire wedding venues, The Ashes, in Endon. I absolutely love capturing wedding videos at The Ashes.

It was an absolute pleasure to capture Laura and Matt’s wedding at The Ashes, and what a perfect day it was! The theming throughout the day was so sweet and rustic with little nods towards Harry Potter (obviously one of my favourites) and Disney – it was so personal and I think that’s what makes a wedding day perfect.

I arrived shortly before Matt and his groomsmen so that I could get some shots of the ceremony barn before all the guests began to arrive. Matt arrived in style in his cool looking Mazda MX5, and shortly after their guests began to arrive. The atmosphere was lovely and the sun was shining bright. It was soon time for the guests to take their seats for the ceremony, so the ushers got to work herding the guests into the barn.

Laura and Matt’s ceremony was lovely, with some beautiful personal vows that bought a tear to everyone’s eye. I love personalised vows – watch their video below to see why I love them so much! They make a perfect highlight video, which is so unique. Honestly personal vows make a massive difference to the highlight videos and theirs has ended up being one of my favourites so far this year.

After the ceremony the guests gathered outside for ice cream – nothing better during this immense summer heat right? And then we had the most epic confetti line.  There was a joyful vibe during the reception and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing all of the guests laughing and having fun. The moments shared were lovely.

Getting married in the summer makes for some breathtaking shots and we made sure to take advantage of some stunning surroundings. We had a really sunny day, which made the guests happy, and meant that they could enjoy the grounds.

Once the wedding reception was over it was time to listen to the speeches. We were treated to four speeches, and they were all lovely – again not a dry eye in the house! Guests then enjoyed a delicious dinner and it was soon time for the party to start.

In the evening we were entertained by an awesome band, and Matt’s dad even joined them, showing his saxophone skills!
